WATERPROOF Double Ended Dog Lead
Our Double Ended Dog lead is a PVC coated nylon lightweight dog lead making it sturdy, soft, waterproof dog lead, and easy to clean. If the leash gets dirty, just wipe it down with water and it's clean as new, particularly suitable for outdoor activities. The innovative coated nylon material is soft on the hands but durable enough for heavy pulling breeds, making it the ideal multi function dog lead; dog training lead and standard dog walking lead.
This lead has 2 strong clips, so it can be used on strong dogs, yet the clips are not overly heavy in weight so this won't cause issues if used with a head collar, like a Gentle Leader or Head Halter. The metal components, mean this lead is ideal for dogs who spend lots of time at the beach, or near salt water, the lead should still be rinsed frequently to prevent salt clogging any components, however the material used is highly resistant to developing rust.
The double ended dog lead is 2.15m in total length, with the strap measuring 2m. It also converts to a 6FT dog leash (180cm), which is ideal for dog walking and can also be used as a temporary tether. Care should always be exercised when tethering a dog, to make sure the dog is safe and supervised, keeping in mind that an agitated dog could easily chew through the leads.
HOW DO I USE A DOUBLE ENDED DOG LEAD
They are longer than a standard lead and have a clip on both ends, instead of the more commonly recognised clip at one end with a loop to hold at the other. The main function of a double ended dog lead when paired with a comfortable body harness which has 2 points of contact (i.e. a ring on the chest as well as a ring on the back), is to make it easier for redirection when your dog is actively pulling. One end of the lead attaches to the front ring, and one clip attaches to the ring on the back.
WHY USE A DOUBLE ENDED DOG LEAD
Perfect for using with a harness to stop pulling, it allows two points of contact making dog walking easier and more pleasurable as it stops dogs pulling on a lead and reduces lunging and its impact on the owner. Attaching your lead like this can help influence your dog's posture, helping them find their own natural balance and can assist in the prevention of pulling because the dog cannot pull forward in a straight line.
